I wanted to kick off a marketing strategies series that will focus on different ways of marketing your niche business and the benefits of each.  Through using these strategies you’ll be able to start building traffic to your site in the hopes of making more revenue when all is said and done.  After all, the ultimate goal of advertising is to make more money.

Article marketing has long been a solid option for marketing.  Some call it bum marketing due to to the fact that it costs nothing to do.  There are a lot of strategies that people use even within article marketing and I’ll show you the ups and downs of each.

Strategy 1: Throw a million articles at a wall and see what sticks.  Full time article marketers will pump out 20-30 articles a day advertising affiliate programs and other sites.  Most of these marketers make a lot of money, but this method is very time consuming.  With writing these articles day after day, article marketers can see which articles perform and make more articles just like the top performers.  This is a solid option for anyone to use regardless of what your online business may be.  You’ll see a lot of traffic from your articles and you’ll be building a ton of backlinks for your niche business.

Strategy 2: Make excellent material that others will pick up.  These articles are created to be excellent and spread naturally.  They take a lot of time to write and perfect meaning that you will make far less of them in any given week.  The hopes of these articles are to be picked up by visitors who will post your article on their site with all the links in tact.  This is also a great strategy in that your site will be able to gain back-links from an array of websites that you may not have thought about.  The ultimate hope of this strategy is to get your amazing article picked up by Digg or some other major social networking site.  You can learn more about social networks in the following post: How to Get High PR Back-links Easily

By using either one of the strategies above you will be using article marketing to its fullest and getting your niche business exposure.  You can also write articles in lesser frequencies and it will still help your site grow traffic gradually by building links and direct hits from those viewing your articles.  If you aren’t using article marketing for your niche business then you are missing out on  a huge traffic building medium.  Don’t listen to those who say article marketing is dead because it simply isn’t true.  There is not one ounce of truth behind that statement as is evident by those making their living by writing articles. Grow your niche business by implementing article marketing strategy in your business plan.

That is an interesting question. Really makes me think about what I would do and how I would do it. I was reviewing a successful entrepreneur’s site one day and that same question came up. The answer was fairly simple. It was a hind-sight 20-20 answer by the guy that was answering the questions. I couldn’t have agreed with him more on what you need to do first, second, and third with the available funds you have to spend.

As I have written before in other articles it is all about the niche. Finding the right niche for any business is the difference between success and failure. If you don’t find a niche market that is willing to pay money for what you are offering then you have no business. Once you have determined your niche then purchase your domain name and set up hosting.

There are ways to design your website that doesn’t cost money. Use free templates, an HTML editor, and edit the templates yourself. However if you are familiar with HTML, design the site from scratch. It is fairly simple if you have some knowledge of HTML. Also, there are allot of free graphics out on the net, pictures, and free templates that you can edit very easily.

After your site is up and running comes the marketing part of the business. Getting your information out to the masses. Advertise your product or service through article marketing, blogging, Google Adwords, link building, and the list goes on and on. This is the back-bone of your business and will take the most of your energy but reward your efforts.

All of this I listed will not cost you more than 100 bucks. Will this work? Why not? It has worked for others why not for you. It all boils down to how serious you are about your niche business and it being successful. Remember the movie that Kevin Costner starred in about the baseball field. You remember that one. ”Build it and they will come”. Unfortunately it is not that simple. Books and videos can help to do part of the work the rest will come directly from you. I always recommend reading various books, ebooks, visit blogs sites, forums, and various articles on how to do this or that.

You can acquire most free on the internet to start your niche business. The money you spend will mostly go toward domain name, hosting, email marketing account (autoresponder), and advertising.
