How Can I Market My Website?

This is a great list of Ezine and Article sites to submit your niche business articles for free. A great way to promote your business for free is to write a 400 – 500 word article on your niche and submit it to free article sites and Ezines. This allows you exposure for yourself being the expert in your niche and exposure for your niche website.

I recommend you set up a separate folder in your my document file or wherever you want on your computer.  Use notepad or wordpad and create a template with a Title, short paragraph of a catchy start to your article, article body, and an about the author section at the bottom. Once you have this template created you can cut and paste into the template, write directly on the template, and save a copy of your article for submission to the free ezines and article sites.

Make sure your articles are unique and not copied. You can buy private label articles from numerous sites however those articles have been around the block a few times and are over used. If by chance you do purchase something like that Re-Write the the majority of the article to make it yours. The best way to get content for your article is to research your article, don’t plagrise. Most article directories will not let you submit articles that are not unique and will give you a warning. In addition, you may get banned from those sites. As a last resort for articles, pay someone to write them for you. Do a search online, check the forums out, for people selling the writing skill services.

Here is a list of article and ezine sites you may wish to submit your articles to after they are written. This is not a complete list just a start. There are many more than what is listed below but this will get you started for now.

Niche Business Website Design

This is website design made simple. You don’t need to know html coding or any technical codes to create a successful website for your new niche business. There are various avenues to website design based on the goals of your Internet business. This takes you back to business planning. What will your website offer? Will you sell a product you created or offer some type of service? You have to answer these questions to determine the design and function of your website.

You have several choices in designing your website.

  1. You can start learning how to create a website by reading manuals and ebooks.
  2. Hire a web designer that charges a high fee to create your website.
  3. Purchase or view complete “how to” instructional video tutorials that will walk you through designing your site step-by-step.
  4. Use a complete Website Development Platform like Site Build It or Build A Niche Store.
  5. Use free website templates and design your website with a little help from HTML knowledge.

If you want to save money it is recommended you design your website yourself. If you can type in a word document you can design a website with the proper tools and resources. You will need to learn a little HTML, have access to a WYSIWYG editor. What is that? WYSIWYG is “What You See Is What You Get”. This is an HTML editor such as Microsoft Frontpage©, Adobe Dreamweaver©, Nvu, and CoffeeCupto name a few. Frontpage and Dreamweaver cost money however NVU and CoffeeCup are free. There are more out there if you do a search for HTML editors you will find both free and paid for editors.

Dreamweaver is a little hard to learn for the beginner. Frontpage is much easier and less expensive however CoffeeCup and Nvu are adequate for creating and designing very nice niche websites.

The key word is business. Determining the business structure of your niche business is for tax purposes. It allows you to determine how the government (federal, state, and local) recognizes your business entity and ensures you are paying the correct taxes on your sales and services.

What are the different business structures for an Internet business? They are the same as for a brick-and-mortar business. Below are the business structures you as a new Internet business owner must become familiar with prior to establishing your niche business.

  • Sole-Proprietorship
  • A sole-proprietorship business is when someone owns a business that is not incorporated and they are the sole owner hence fore the term sole-proprietor. You are the sole owner of the Internet business.

  • Partnership
  • A partnership is a business were more than one person (two or more) forms a business. Each person contributes an equal share in monies, property, labor, and expects to share in the profits and losses of the business. A partner is not an employee of the business.

  • LLC (Limited Liability Corporation)
  • An LLC is a form of a corporation where members have limited personal liability for the debt and actions of the LLC. This is a new and popular way to structure your business in many states. It would be wise to research your particular states statutes for an LLC prior to forming. The overall basic idea of this structure is flexibility for its members and the limited personal liability it offers its members. This is can be used on an Internet business as well as a stand alone brick and mortar. You can pay to have a company form your LLC or do it yourself if your state permits it. Check with your local states policies and regulations prior to forming an LLC.

  • Corporations
  • Structuring as a Corporation or an S Corporation brings benefits for start up businesses that expect to have shareholders. This is not recommended for a new Internet business however as the business is established and profitable this business structure may be appropriate for the business and the new new owner. Familiarizing yourself with this type of a business is essential.

There are advantages and disadvantages of structuring your business as explained above. As a new Internet niche business owner you will need to determine which one fits your ideal niche business when establishing your business. You must take into account legal and tax issues when choosing a business structure for your business. It is highly recommended you speak with an attorney or a certified public accountant (CPA) about the appropriate business structure for your business after you have completed your research into the different ways to structure your online business. Write your questions down and go prepared to get your questions answered if this information does not provide you with the needed information. Structuring your business is an important step of your start up process.

Always remember this is a Business.
